Shropshire Way

Newsletter No 7

The Shropshire Way Main Route is a long distance path of 200 miles. It comprises two loops centring on Shrewsbury, covering the South Shropshire Hills and the North Meres, Mosses and canals. Fifteen stages link the major towns and transport hubs so that public transport can be used to complete the route. Rail Rambles often include part of this scenic trail. Heart of Wales line – Bucknell

We’re fortunate to live in Bucknell station, on the Heart of Wales line.  Our kids think it’s a dream house, and 6 months after we moved in, still run to the windows every time a train passes.

The station’s old ticket office was converted to a house in the 1970s, and is now an annex to the part of the house we live in.  We’ve recently finished renovating it as a holiday let, and thought your members might be interested to hear more about it.
